Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad says Malaysia has offered to help Indonesia put out forest fires, however Indonesian President Joko Widodo has yet to accept the offer.<br /><br />At a press conference today, Mahathir requested the media to ask Indonesia why it hasn't accepted the offer.<br /><br />Meanwhile, some 2,646 schools nationwide are to be closed tomorrow as a result of the haze situation, the Education Ministry announced in a statement this evening.<br /><br />The ministry stated that some 1,715,274 students are so far affected by these closures.<br /><br />The breakdown of the schools being closed tomorrow are 987 in Sarawak, 939 in Selangor, 25 in Putrajaya, 296 in Kuala Lumpur and 399 in Penang.
